Nearly every home or commercial property has a type of HVAC system. However, not everyone is informed on proper maintenance of their HVAC system, or knows when it needs servicing. At Ryals Brothers Inc., we have compiled a basic list to help inform you on the basics of your HVAC system to help you understand when it may need some servicing.
What does HVAC mean?
HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. This encompasses all of the different machines used to regulate temperature in a home or commercial setting.
What is a filter, and how often should I change it?
An air or heating filter has a home in every machine. The purpose of the filter is to prevent potentially harmful material from entering the cylinders in the engine. We recommend changing your filter every 30-60 days, or when it is dirty. Doing so will extend the life of your HVAC system and reduce your energy bill.
How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?
At Ryals Brothers Inc., we offer many types of HVAC services. If your system is no longer working, making strange noises or simply needs a checkup, give us a call. It is recommended that you have your system inspected every other year for preventative maintenance and routine cleaning.
